Sika is a century-old global company in the field of construction chemicals and industrial adhesives, with multiple R&D and production sites in China. Sika China's new materials testing center not only serves local product development and QC but also facilitates data exchange and technical collaboration with Sika's global R&D network — which means that every Tg measurement, every DSC curve, and every mechanical performance report produced in the lab must be fully comparable with the data from the Swiss headquarters and the R&D center in Germany.

This 'global data comparability' requirement places very specific constraints on the equipment: the equipment brand must be one used by Sika's global R&D network (to ensure consistency in testing methods), the software version and data analysis approach must align with the global templates, calibration and traceability must comply with ISO 17025, and the SOP format and content must pass review by Sika's global technical system.

During its service to Sika China, DeHui Scientific (www.dehuisci.com) has added core value in three areas: first, helping to map out a complete thermal analysis and mechanical testing equipment matrix according to Sika's product lines (from cement-based materials to epoxy adhesives to polyurethane sealants); second, developing methods strictly in line with Sika's global testing templates during equipment installation and commissioning; and third, providing bilingual SOPs and training materials in both Chinese and English.
